A picture, not a load plan
This page sets out what the simulator does, what it deliberately does not do, and where responsibility sits when a real trailer gets loaded. It is short because the tool is simple: it draws what you type and reports what is left over.
An individual, in Canada
CargoLoadStudio is built and operated by an individual based in Canada, trading as Spratus. It is not a registered company, and nothing here should be read as implying one. For anything to do with these terms, your data, or the tool itself, write to team.spratus@gmail.com.
Using the site means accepting what follows. If you do not accept it, the honest answer is not to use the tool — nothing is gated, so there is nothing to cancel.

A visualizer, and only that
The simulator takes the dimensions you enter and draws them. It reports how many pallet positions that fills, how much of the usable volume and payload is taken, and how much floor length, headroom and weight is left. That is the whole job.
It does not choose equipment for you, does not search for a best fit, and does not produce a load plan, a stowage plan or a securing plan. It has no opinion about which transport unit you should book. Two configurations that fill the same percentage can be completely different loads, which is exactly why the tool shows you the empty space instead of ranking anything.
The numbers are arithmetic, not measurements
Every figure is computed from what you typed, using the geometry of rectangles. Nothing is measured, inspected or verified. Where the tool is likely to differ from the trailer in your yard:
- Built-in dimensions are nominal. Real interiors vary between manufacturers, between builds, and with wear, liners, reefer units and load bars. Override them with your own measurements when it matters.
- The payload limit is a single figure. The tool applies 20,200 kg to every transport unit. Your actual limit depends on the tractor, the trailer, the axle configuration, the route and the jurisdiction, and is frequently lower.
- Weight distribution is not modelled. The tool reports a total. It says nothing about axle loading, about where the centre of gravity sits, or about whether a legal total is legally distributed.
- Nothing physical is modelled. Not crush strength, not overhang, not pallet quality, not stacking stability, not door clearance, not how the load behaves when the truck brakes.
The tool is provided as is, without any warranty that it is accurate, complete, error-free or fit for a particular purpose. Check every figure against the actual equipment and the rules that apply to your route before acting on it.
The load stays yours
Deciding what goes on a vehicle, how it is arranged, how it is secured and whether it is legal is the responsibility of the people doing it — the shipper, the carrier, the driver and whoever signs for it. A drawing on a screen does not move any part of that.
You remain responsible for weight and dimension limits, axle loading, cargo securement, dangerous goods rules, permits, and every other regulation that applies where the vehicle is driven. In Canada that includes the National Safety Code standards; elsewhere it will be something else. The tool knows none of it.
To the fullest extent the law allows, the operator is not liable for any loss, damage, fine, delay, injury or cost arising from use of the simulator or from anything derived from it. Consumer protection law limits what can be excluded — in Québec, the Consumer Protection Act in particular. Where that is the case, the exclusion applies only as far as it legally can, and nothing here removes a right you cannot waive by agreement.
Free today, and unguaranteed
Availability
The simulator is free to use and there is no promise that it will stay available, keep working, or keep behaving the way it does today. Features can change or be removed. It may become a paid product; if it does, that will be said plainly and in advance, not applied retroactively.
Your setups and scenarios
Everything you save lives in your own browser and nowhere else. There is no server-side copy, which means there is no backup: clearing site data, switching browser or switching device loses your scenarios. Use the share code to keep one, and treat that code as the dimensions and quantities it contains. What the site stores is set out in full on the privacy page.
Fair use
Use it for real work, freely. Do not resell it or pass it off as your own, do not strip it out and redeploy it, do not attempt to break or overload the site, and do not present its output as a certified or professionally prepared load plan — it is not one.
Ownership
The simulator, its interface, its drawings and the writing on this site belong to the operator. Your dimensions, your quantities and your scenarios are yours; nothing here claims any right over them, and they never leave your browser in the first place.
Changes and governing law
These terms may be updated as the tool changes. The date below says when they last were. Continuing to use the site after a change means accepting the version then published.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Québec and the federal laws of Canada applicable in it. Where you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory rules of the place you live.
This page describes how the software behaves and how it is offered. It is not legal advice and it is not a substitute for terms reviewed by a lawyer in the jurisdictions you operate in.
